Terne Coated Stainless Steel Roofing
a Valley Box Gutter on a Church
Most churches nowadays are replacing their lead roofing with tern coated stainless steel when the opportunity arises, as it has a similar look and colour to lead (once weathered) plus requires very little maintenance. In terms of this type of ecclesiastical work, stainless steel roofing vs lead roofing is more cost effective because the lead used on churches is often a heavy grade and therefore more expensive.
Stainless Steel Roofing has all the attributes of lead and yet is difficult to remove, has a very low scrap value and is therefore not a target for theft, which has become a problem for some churches in recently years.
This large valley box gutter was created in the traditional batten roll style.
